It's been almost a year since chef Jason Atherton announced he was parting ways with The Biltmore Mayfair hotel on Grosvenor Square. Since then the hotel has been running the Cafe Biltmore that he opened there. But now they've got a brand new restaurant to shout about.
Grill 88 is all about surf and turf - so that'll be Lake District Sirloin Steaks alongside Japanese Wagyu ribeyes, Australian full-blood wagyu picanha and USDA Black Angus steaks. Choose to cook those yourself or there will also be an option to have a Himalayan salt or lava block delivered to your table for some DIY grilling.
The seafood options sound just as luxe with options like:
- Dorset crab and Lobster 'louie' cocktail
- Gratin Orkney scallops in the shell with black truffle
- Grilled native lobster with curry hollandaise
It sounds like it'll be an intimate space with room for just 32 diners in a room that overlooks the square.
