You've got to admire the chutzpah of spritz brand These Days who have picked Bermondsey's Beer Mile as the place they've decided to open their first bar. From this summer anyone in the area who fancies something different to craft beer will be able to head to their aperitivo bar instead.
If you haven't tried any of the drinks before, they're a mix of fruit and organic wine. Opt for Sundown Spritz, a mix of blood orange juice and white wine, or Venetian Spritz which is a mix of peach, honey and white wine. At the bar you can order by the bottle or from the tap.
Clearly, there had to be a decent bar snacks menu to go with the drinks (the company's founder Oli used to be the chef for East London pub The Culpeper). So they'll be serving up bread and oil from St John Bakery, cheeses from Neal’s Yard Dairy, as well as charcuterie, olives and crisps.
As for the space itself, you'll find the bar in one of the old arches with room for seating inside - and outside come the summer.
