The Croquetas Challenge returns for 2023

The Croquetas Challenge returns for 2023

Over the past few years we've enjoyed being part of the judging panel for the annual Croquetas Challenge run by the Salt Yard Group. So we're delighted to be able to reveal that the event is back again for 2023 with some interesting competitors already signed up.

In the run-up to the final on 6 June, the group will be arranging two heats in May when restaurants from across the city will compete. The good news is that at both the heats and the finals, London's croquetas lovers can also taste the entrants' efforts. To give you an idea of what to expect, the winning entrant from the 2022 competition was SHUK with their Tel Aviv spiced beef brisket croquetas served with pimenton mayo and pickled red onions.

Restaurants that have already signed up to be part of the action this year include the newly-opened Bar Kroketa, Bibo at Mondrian Shoreditch, Cin Cin Fitzrovia, Ember Yard, The London Shell Co, The Tamil Prince, Salt Yard, Salt Yard Borough, Signature Brew and Vori.

Tickets are now on sale for the two heats, with those for the final going on sale on 24 May. They cost £35 and for that you get a drink and to try each of the entries.
