British-influenced Boudica restaurant comes to Battersea

British-influenced Boudica restaurant comes to Battersea

Battersea's restaurant scene continues to get busier and busier. We've only recently had the launch of Joia and now another big restaurant is getting ready to open there.

This time it's the turn of Boudica, a new all-day restaurant that's serving up an international and British-influenced food and drink menu. In charge of the kitchen is Head Chef Luigi Vairo, previously at Corrigan’s Mayfair, and his menu will include:

  • Homemade Pumpkin Amaretto and Mascarpone Ravioli
  • Salt Baked Celeriac, Miso, Calamansi Truffle Sauce, Seaweed
  • Turbot, Tempura Sardines, Burnt Fennel Puree, Spring Greens, Vichyssoise
  • Marinated Welsh Lamb Cutlets, Baba Ghanoush
  • Peanut Bar with Whiskey Parfait

On the drinks side, they're leaning heavily into the restaurant's namesake. So you'll get drinks like Boudica's Fury (Bourbon, Drambui, Talisker, Ancho Reyes, lemon juice, ginger syrup, apple) and alongside a European wine list there will also be a "secret" whisky menu that has "a selection of the founder's secret most interesting whisky". On top of that, the restaurant also promises a big terrace that will be "wine led" so that might be a very handy place for a drink in this part of town.
