It's that time again - when the House of Lords takes a holiday, the rest of us regular folk can take their place in The Peer's Dining room to see just what it's like to dine as a lord. However, this easter they're doing things a little differently. Normally they have spaces open for lunch - but this time it's for afternoon tea.
Exactly what's on offer for this tea is being kept under wraps but you can expect it to take the usual format. They say to expect "a seasonal selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, cakes, and scones, complemented by a variety of premium loose-leaf teas." It costs £55, which is not bad value for an afternoon tea, and if you want to, you can add a glass of Champagne to that (their own-brand Champagne, even) for an extra £12.
The dining room will be open over the Easter break and, as ever, spaces for this will be snapped up very quickly, so make sure to put 2pm on 4 March into the diary as that's when bookings open.
