We're already hearing good things about new omakase restaurant Mayha in Marylebone with The Independent's critic Lucy Thackray describing it thus: "It’s calming. It’s compelling. It’s completely addictive."
Now they're about to open the final stage of their offering - a teeny underground bar space. The Bar Downstairs will have just six seats - so get ready to fight for them. The restaurant's 'head of drinks' Josef Antoun will match a special five-course omakase menu with his signature drinks.
To give you an idea, dishes on right now include a scallop crudo paired with a Goose Spritz, comprised of fresh gooseberries, elderflower and champagne along with a plate of sun-dried tomato yellow tail served with an Okra Martini, made using Honjozo Sake, vodka and dry vermouth.
Of course, you can also just pop down for a cocktail on its own - or go big with dishes from the a la carte menu and we hear there's a hidden terrace down here too.
