The Parakeet comes to Kentish Town with an ex-Brat chef

A new pub is on the horizon for Kentish Town and it's looking very promising.

The Parakeet is taking over what used to be The Oxford pub in Kentish Town, which has been bought by the people behind Camden's Jazz Café and The Blues Kitchen. In the kitchen, they'll have ex-Brat chef Ben Allen. Apparently, he'll be cooking up a menu that's focused on "premium, seasonal produce and fire cooking" over their custom flame grill.

Ont he menu will be:

  • Poached Oyster with Pickled Elderflower
  • Braised Leeks, Pecorino and Smoked Mushrooms
  • Wood Roasted Rabbit, Kohlrabi and Curry Leaf

That's all we know right now - as soon as we have more info we'll add it here.
