23/9/23 - Updated with the opening date
It's all hotting up at the OWO. The massive revamp of the Old War Office, adds a new Raffles hotel to London not to mention upcoming restaurants from Mirazur's Mauro Colagreco as well as the arrival of Milan's Paper Moon.
One of the key restaurants is Café Lapérouse, the London outpost of a Parisian restaurant that traces its origins back to 1766 and is currently in the Hotel de la Marin on Place de la Concorde.
As for what coming to the menu, here's a taster of that:
- "The famous" Halles onion gratin;
- Burgundy snails in the shell with parsley butter, Lapérouse style
- “Lapérouse” beef tartare with fries
- Sole with meunière butter and capers, mashed potatoes
- Rum Baba Royal, whipped cream
- “Belle Otero” sundae with vanilla, strawberry, pistachio, hazelnut ice cream
That's alongside rillettes, saucisson and a fair bit of caviar.
It's going to be in the central courtyard of the OWO in a pavilion that's designed by London-based DaeWha Kang Design.
