Swedish bakery and cafe Soderberg arrives in East Dulwich

Soderberg Swedish cafe is coming to East Dulwich

A Hot Dinners exclusive

Swedish bakery Soderberg has its main home in Edinburgh - but after opening a cafe in Soho in 2019, they're starting to grow in London too. Coming next for the group is a new cafe in East Dulwich (where Terroirs and Green & Blue used to be).

If you're unfamiliar with them, they essentially serve classic Swedish food, with a big focus on their British suppliers. So their flour is from Shipton Mill, the salmon comes from Belhaven Smokery in Edinburgh and their coffee is from Edinburgh coffee roasters Obadiah.

Expect the menu to be broadly similar to Soho, so there'll be cinnamon and cardamon buns (Kardemummabulle) and their chocolate cake (Kladdkaka). Those will be alongside open sandwiches (including smoked salmon, homemade mayo, dill and onion), and Swedish continental breakfast trays. They'll also have sourdough pizzas (one including more of that smoked salmon) and even a special brunch pizza. The Soho branch is also open in the evening, but we're yet to hear if East Dulwich will do the same.

Thanks to Hot Dinners reader Nigel for spotting this.
