Berberè Pizza heads north to Kentish Town

Berbere Pizza heads north to Kentish Town

They've been successful in Clapham and now Berberè Pizza have gone north for their next restaurant, opening in Kentish Town.

Berberè comes from Calabrian brothers Matteo and Salvatore Aloe and the Kentish Town site will once again focus on their sourdough pizzas, where their aim has been on creating a particularly crunchy crust. Traditional pizzas like the Marinara, Margherita and Napoli will make an appearance among their own creations which include:

  • Orange Crush - Creamed butternut squash, leeks, black olives, fresh chilli, peanut butter
  • Speck & Zola - Speck from the Alps, gorgonzola, fior di latte mozzarella, honey & walnuts
  • Burrata & ‘nduja - ‘Nduja, burrata, fior di latte mozzarella, dried tomatoes, basil

And to that, you can add crust dippers that include spicy ‘nduja & honey, aioli and basil & walnut pesto.

Wines will be Italian, beers will be local and there will be a small cocktail menu too. It's taking over a site that back in the day used to be a police station and with quite a history behind it, and inside they'll be applying a pared-back, exposed brick look.
