Things aren't looking so great for London diners, according to the Good Food Guide. As the first guide to be published in two years was launched in a party last night (in London) it transpired that not only was our city no longer considered the most exciting place to eat in the country, but the number of restaurants it could muster in the guide's top 20 had almost halved.
The 2022 guide features just five London establishments in the top 20 restaurants in Britain.
- 8. Pollen Street Social
- 11. Restaurant Story
- 17. Da Terra
- 19. Kol
- 20. Endo at the Rotunda
That's down from nine when the last guide was published in 2020 before it temporarily ceased publication.
Apparently the most exciting food destination to eat at in the UK is now Birmingham, while three UK restaurants merit the title of World Class - that's L'Enclume, Ynyshir and Moor Hall all of whom take the top slots in the list.
