Petrossian chooses South Kensington for its London caviar restaurant and deli

30/1/23 - updated with cafe menu and images

Francophiles and fans of fine caviar need not trouble themselves with Eurostar queues and delays any longer, Petrossian is opening their first London restaurant, deli and boutique. If you’re looking to indulge, or even for a nifty festive gift for the fussy foodie in your life, South Kensington is the place to be come November, with Petrossian’s signature teal-blue-hued boutique setting up shop directly opposite the Michelin building.

If you’re not au fait with Petrossian, it first opened on Paris’ Boulevard de Latour-Maubourg in 1920 and now has outlets in Brussels, New York, Las Vegas and West Hollywood.

You can get all the sophisticated feels from the deli counter, which offers samples of freshly made tarama and smoked salmon sliced to order. But to get the full experience, sit yourself down at the teeny cafe (there are just 16 seats) and consider the following from the cafe menu:

  • Organic Soft Boiled Egg served with Ossetra caviar
  • Oven Baked Potato with Caviar
  • Truffle Tartine
  • Petrossian Croque, served with caviar, truffle or pata negra.

It goes without saying that there’s an extensive range of caviar from all over the world available to purchase, with guidance from the Petrossian staff. We’ve already started noting down mother-of-pearl caviar spoons and the Picnic in the Park gift set (caviar, pork saucisson, tarama, sardine rillettes, baguette toasts, mini blinis, crème fraiche) on our wish list and, quite frankly, we’re reluctant to stop there.
