Although it's arguably one of its best known dishes, the famous mince on dripping toast isn't always on the menu at the Quality Chop House.
The dish itself went viral in 2017 when a video on the US site Eater proclaimed it to be a 'quintessential British comfort classic' - a claim that many, including reviewer Jay Rayner, poured scorn on.
Whether you agree with Eater or Rayner, the key fact is that it's absolutely delicious. The restaurant describes it as "gloriously rich beef mince on a thick slice of dripping toast, with a fistful of peppery watercress on top".
The good news is that it's back on the menu again on Quality Chop House's set lunch menu deal for the next two weeks as part of the restaurant's 10th birthday celebrations. So you can enjoy a three course set lunch, with the mince as the centrepiece, for a most reasonable £25. We'll raise a glass to that.
