Control Room B is a 1950s-themed bar inside Battersea Power Station

More Battersea Power Station news today, as the final pieces of the new development come into place. This time it's news of a big new bar that's opening there from the Mr Fogg's team.

Called Control Room B as it's based in - you guessed it - the power station's old control room, it's inspired by the Power Station architecture, right up to the turbine-inspired radial sculpture that's the main bar. This section of the Power Station was built after World War II and has a Brutalist design and the team have gone as far as restoring the original control room fittings, desks and switchgear complex. So if you're after an old-school experience at the restored station, this could be the thing. Even the staff will be in "utilitarian boiler suits".

As for the bar itself, it's an all-day affair, serving coffee and pastries from 10am each morning. Heading into the evening, the cocktails will start - taking inspiration from the surroundings, both the drinks and what they're served in. We'll have more news of those in the run-up to the opening.
