Freddie Janssen’s Snackbar in Dalston is about to get a new look at the weekends as it turns into a pop-up LGBTQ+ neighbourhood bar, Adam's.
It comes from Adam Caddy, previously at Brasserie Zedel, Annabel’s, Quo Vadis and Century Club. He has been looking to open a permanent bar - and this should hopefully be the stepping stone to doing just that. As Adam himself says, "Over the last decade, London has lost 58% of its LGBTQ spaces – spaces which for me personally, have been hugely influential in allowing me to be myself, make lifelong friends and feel part of a wonderful community. I want to do whatever I can to bring back more of these safe places."
Drinks-wise, there's a small cocktail list - Negronis and Tom Collins feature - as well as white, rose and red wine by the glass and beers from Two Tribes in King's Cross. The bar itself will feature rotating artwork from the LGBTQ+ community, kicking off with Cornish painter and fashion designer, Samson Dougal.
After the Snackbar pop-up, Adams will be popping up across the city, so be on the lookout for more appearances after this.
