Bantof in Soho sees Pied a Terre's chef branch out

bantof soho london restaurant

There's a new restaurant coming to Soho that, looking at the folk involved, certainly sounds worth a visit. Bantof describes itself as a restaurant, cocktail bar and art space. But it's the team that they've brought on board to consult on the food and drink that elevates it from the usual restaurant equivalent of Actress, Model, Whatever.

In charge of the menu is chef Asimakis Chaniotis, whose day job is heading up the kitchens at Michelin-starred Pied a Terre. Here at Bantof he's curated a menu of tasting plates that are designed to go with both the cocktail list and the restaurant's rotating exhibition of art. So there will be Greek Koulouri with yoghurt and egg for breakfast and black truffle pizza for dinner.

Speaking of cocktails, the innovative cocktail menu was dreamt up by mixologist Jack Sotti's company SuperNacular (you may have caught Sotti on Sunday Brunch before, where he's a regular). Sotti's list features a mixture of new and classic cocktails with a twist with every drink named after a different Soho landmark or personality.
