Milk Beach brings its Aussie restaurant to Soho

Milk Beach brings its Aussie restaurant to Soho

17/8/22 - updated with the opening date

They've become big in Queen's Park and now Australian restaurant Milk Beach is heading into town for a second restaurant in Soho.

They'll be opening in the new Ilona Rose House building on Greek Street (where The Little Scarlet Door has opened too). As with the original, there will be a mix of South-East Asian and Mediterranean cuisine on the menu as well as some new BBQ dishes. Most of the menu promises to be different this time around, with dishes including:

  • Four Pillars gin Bloody Mary oyster shooter
  • Grilled prawns, fermented chilli butter
  • Grilled oyster mushrooms, fermented mushroom glaze, macadamia hummus
  • Whole deep-fried seabass with nam jim jaew
  • Belted Galloway bone-in ribeye, tare, oyster and tarragon butter
  • Milk Beach 'Golden Gaytime' with toffee & buttermilk parfait, dark chocolate, malt & honeycomb crumb

Being an Aussie restaurant, brunch will indeed be a thing with Vietnamese curried crab and folded eggs on a house-made crumpet among the treats in store. As for drinks, the wine will focus on low-intervention.
