We've got a double portion of Greggs news for you today. First, the bad news. Last week the pastry purveyors failed to persuade Westminster Council of the merits of having their flagship Leicester Square store open 24 hours a day.
Worrying that the bakery could be a 'hot spot for late night disturbances and anti-social behaviour' the council called Greggs plans for opening 24/7 'half baked' - we see what they did there. According to the BBC, that was disputed by Greggs who reckoned customers in the wee small hours would more likely be emergency service and late night shift workers than drunken clubbers.
However, there is some good news for Greggs fans this week. They're about to drop a whole load of new merch in a second collaboration with Primark. So if you reckon what your wardrobe has been missing are some Greggs cloggs or a fetching Greggs logo bum bag, then you'll need to hotfoot it to Primark on Friday when the collab drops.
