5/7/22 - updated with opening details
With two big (and popular) Peruvian restaurants to their name, the people behind Pachamama are trying something new. This time they're going Greek.
Their new Notting Hill restaurant is called Zephyr (that's named after the Greek god of the west wind) and the team are promising a restaurant that's inspired by Grecian culture. In charge of the kitchen is Executive Chef John Skotidas, a Greek South American chef who is best known for Notting Hill hits Suzi Tros and Mazi.
A taste of what to expect from the menu includes:
- Fresh carpaccio of seabass with lemon-oil dashi and bottarga
- Otoro toast with cream and black caviar
- Whole smoked aubergine with citrus yoghurt and dukkah
- Giant butter beans baked in tomato sauce with feta finished in a wood oven.
- Salt-baked beetroots dressed in fresh herbs, pesto and home-made soft cheese
- Steamed mussels with dill and kaffir lime
On top of that, there will be whole charcoal-grilled fish to share and carved on the table.
And it's not just a restaurant either. The restaurant is on the ground floor - but there's also going to be a bar downstairs with its own signature cocktails which should be a destination all in itself (and will open late, too). So that'll be very handy for Notting Hill folk.
