Portobello is getting a new Argentinian empanaderia, De Nadas

de nadas empandas shop portobello london

We've had Jamaican patties in Covent Garden and Cornish pasties in Paddington, now Portobello is getting in on the love for pastry snackage with a new empanaderia. De Nadas will specialise in Argentinian hand-shaped empanadas, opening on the Golborne Road in Portobello.

The shop will sell 15 different shaped empanadas, all made by hand, with a variety of traditional and more modern fillings (including vegan options). There'll be the classic beef, with olives, peppers and egg along with MDQ, which is apparently the Argentinian take on the Hawaiian with ham, cheese and pineapple. But the veggie options sound good too including Smoked Malbec, with caramelised Malbec onions and cheese and Puca Capa, with cheese, coriander and aji molido.

You can grab them to go or eat in and, alongside the empanadas, there'll also be a deli section with food that includes Black Label grass-fed beef, home-made pots of chimichurri and alfajores cookies.

If all that wasn't attractive enough, they've also added their own vinyl wine room which boasts London’s largest selection of Malbecs and vermouths and will be somewhere you can taste wines.
