Gordon Ramsay's big expansion plans see no sign of slowing down yet. Next up, it looks like he might be rolling out his Lucky Cat brand, starting with Shoreditch.
Lucky Cat was originally opened in Mayfair, taking over the space that used to be Maze on Grosvenor Square. Billed as an "authentic Asian Eating House", it didn't open to the best of reviews, but it still seems to have been doing rather well for him since.
The site in question is where Bird used to be on Kingsland High Road, a space that's much smaller than the original Lucky Cat. That smaller footprint may be why it looks like there's a small change to the name, given that it's to be called Lucky Cat Noodle & Bar. But that's pretty much all we know at the moment. We can, however, imagine that Lucky Cat will be facing a completely different crowd in Shoreditch compared to Mayfair, so it'll be interesting to see how this one is pitched.
We'll add more news as we get it.
