Hot 4 U 's new residency is Beak at The Haggerston 

Hot 4 U at the Prince Arthur very recently got a rave review from Marina O'Loughlin before moving on to get ready for their new restaurant. But while they gear up for that, they've started something new, just down the road at The Haggerston, called Beak.

As you might guess, this one is all about chicken, described as a beak-to-tail affair. Hot 4 U's Matthew Scot says "Think Morley’s meets Yardbird with a focus on sustainability. We're using dry-aged Fosse chickens - every part of the bird will be used across the menu. There are DJs at the weekend, outside BBQs, in-house fermentation and pickles, oysters by the dozen, and a weekly changing ice cream on Sunday."

That menu includes:

  • Devilled eggs
  • BBQ peas and salted duck egg
  • Tomato, shiso and ume
  • Potatoes and cod's roe
  • Koji fried chicken
  • And sticks that include: tsukune, deep-fried mussel, chicken thigh and citrus kosho, celeriac shawarma

They'll have a Beak sando too and oysters by the half dozen with hot sauce, as well as a BBQ chilli schmaltz oyster and a Yuzu margarita oyster.

So if you missed their first residency - this should be a must.
