London streetfood fans searching for the next hot thing to get their teeth into are going to need to head out to the Greenwich Peninsula . Joining the ranks of traders at the Design District Canteen is newbie Juk Pou. Their USP? They're congee and youtiao street food specialists.
Founders Shiqi Liu and Stan Yang were inspired by their childhood food memories to come up with the concept which marries Chinese porridge congee (here served both savoury and sweet) along with youtiao. We'll admit to not knowing what youtiao were before this, but it turns out they're deep-fried breadsticks.
The menu also includes treats like Yuxiang tofu, buttermilk fried chicken and the stall will serve up bubble red bean and Hong Kong milk teas to go along with those.
