Le Bab have become big hitters in London's kebab scene in the past few years - as well as launching the odd innovative concept like their Kebab Queen restaurant. Now they're getting ready to launch their fourth restaurant, this time in Brixton Village (where Ms Cupcake used to be).
The new opening, their first in south London, is a small affair, with room for just 20 people. Before you get to the kebabs themselves, they'll have sharing mezze plates, including Turkish Korean fried chicken, Le Bab Hummus with peanut curry pesto and dirty pork shawarma fries.
As for those kebabs, the menu includes:
- ‘Fried Chicken’ Shish Kebab – BBQ free-range chicken, Southern fried chicken skin, red cabbage slaw, coriander, chilli mayo
- The Legendary Paneer – spiced paneer, fresh beetroot and coconut purée, pickled cucumber, crispy onions, curry mayo, coriander, and the new
- Impossibly Dirty Bab – Impossible Sausage shawarma, sweet chilli relish, house pickles, double-cooked fries, vegan mayo
Drinks-wise, wines will start at a pretty decent £5 a glass with cocktails at £8.50 including negronis, manhattans, margaritas, spritzes and sours.
It'll be a late-night affair too, opening until 2am on Thursday and 3am on Friday and Saturday. So if you're in need of a late-night snack in Brixton, definitely bear this in mind.
