With rooftop bars suddenly becoming destination de rigueur for Londoners eager to make the most of spring weather (or perhaps everyone just read our recent feature), comes news of another that has just launched in Shoreditch.
You can now head up to the top of the new One Hundred Shoreditch as their rooftop bar has been unveiled. There you'll have views across East London while you soak up Palm-Springs-style pink décor, sipping Champagne or cocktails amid the succulents and cacti on the terrazzo. If your feet feel like they’re in California but your eyes are on London’s panorama then your ears will be tuning in to Latin dance music while you acclimatise to the fact that you’ve managed to find one of the rare non-member rooftop bars in Shoreditch.
Highlights from the menu, which fuses modern California with retro Americano include:
- Tacos served with devilled eggs
- Cured salmon tostadas, yuzu and jalapeño avocado
- Grilled king prawns, mango, tomato and chilli salsa
- Sticky jackfruit taco, chilli and lime yoghurt
- Soft shell crab burger, fennel and chilli coleslaw
- Barbecue beef rib taco, chilli and lime yoghurt
While you watch the sun set, there’s Champagne and rosé wine, or cocktails, such as the Spicy Margarita with Patrón Silver tequila infused with jalapeño, agave syrup and lime. Or the One Hundred Punch with Bacardi Cuatro, Koko Kanu, Supasawa, Cointreau, matcha and orange juice.
