She's best known to TV audiences as the oh-so-exacting judge from Bake Off: The Professionals. But now Cherish Finden is realising her dream of opening her first standalone patisserie in London.
SHIOK! (it's pronounced Shook) will be a Singapore-influenced patisserie located in the new Pan Pacific hotel in Bishopsgate. It's something of a homecoming for Finden who first worked at the Pan Pacific in Singapore back in 1991. The 25 counter space will be open from breakfast through to tea-time and you can either sit in to enjoy the experience or just grab a treat to go.
On offer, you'll find a range of handbag-inspired patisserie (those chocolate teapots look particularly cute), breakfast Polo Buns - milk buns with a choice of coffee, pandan or summer berry fillings. There will also be pork floss buns, a sausage shokupan and classic viennoiserie too.
To drink, alongside the usual teas and coffees will be bubble teas, fresh DIY juices and Champagne.
So fans of Cherish will want to make a date to visit, but if you're working in the City, it should definitely be worth popping by to grab a chocolate teapot.
