While we wait for more details of what the Big Mamma Group (the people behind Ave Mario and Circolo Popolare) have planned for their next big restaurant in Kensington, they're already moving ahead with bricks and mortar plans for their Napoli Gang brand which is now opening a pizza shop in Ladbroke Grove.
If you haven't encountered Napoli Gang on Deliveroo before, it's their pizza delivery service which, in addition to their fully loaded pizzas, also serves up treats like arancini, burrata with truffle cream, Lasagne Fritta (deep-fried slices of lasagne) and parma ham and mortadella, all direct from Big Mamma Group’s Italian suppliers.
As for those pizzas, the range includes:
- The G.O.A.T - cream, spinach, goats cheese, honey and pecans
- Vegansta's Paradise - zucchini cream, fried aubergine, taggiasche olives, mushroom carpaccio
- Truffle is Life - truffle cream with ricotta, fior di latte mozzarella, thin slices of raw mushrooms drizzled in carbonara sauce
The Ladbroke Grove space will do click and collect, delivery and takeaway. And if you're on the lookout for them, put it this way - we don't think locals are going to be able to miss it when it opens. What with the hot pink neon signs, MTV retro videos being projected on the wall and the whole inside covered in graffiti art, it'll have quite the unique look.
