Updated 18/2/22 with opening date
London's next big food and drink development to watch is definitely Borough Yards. We already know that Barrafina, Butchies and Vinoteca will be opening new restaurants there - and now we have news of another opening that ought to be a very handy brunch spot.
Brother Marcus, who also have restaurants in Islington and Spitalfields, will be unveiling their third restaurant there, once again with a Mediterranean feel. They'll be adding something new, in the shape of a robata grill that will mean the Borough Yards location will have more grilled meat, fish and veg. There will also be plenty of their classics coming to the new location, including:
- Sweet potato, courgette and feta fritters with avocado
- Harissa eggs with British rainbow chard
- Lamb kofta with celeriac purée & pine nuts
- Fried cauliflower with kassundi, mint crumb & pomegranate
- Prawn saganaki with Israeli couscous, feta & Urfa chilli.
Desserts will include "honey bombs" with pistachio and sea salt chocolate and pistachio baklava with homemade Greek yoghurt & honey ice cream. As for drinks, there will be a focus on Greek wines (along with other European wines).
As mentioned, they've got a very good reputation for their brunches, so expect this to be very popular when it opens.
