Just as London's finishes hosting the 50 Best Bars awards, another very promising bar is opening in Kensington.
Amaro is the passion project of Elon Soddu, previously Head Mixologist of The Savoy. Elon and his bar team all have experience in five-star hotel bars. Here, it's an independent affair and they're putting their own spin on timeless classic cocktails. So that includes:
- Pomegranate Negroni - tequila blanco, mezcal, pomegranate cordial, dry vermouth, Campari
- Cosmo Amaro - arrack, vodka infused with coconut, raspberry cordial, Cocchi Rosa, soda.
- Caramel Punch - Seven Tail Brandy, dulce de leche, coconut milk, fernet, lime
Alongside the cocktails will be spirits and Italian wines and they also have a menu of small plates, with dishes like Tofu Bites, Bufala Panzanella and Tuna Tartare.
So if you're looking to try out what could be London's next big bar - this should be well worth a look.
