StreetSmart launch their winter campaign to help London's homeless with Brutto, St John, Alain Ducasse and more

street smart's christmas 2021 campaign in London

Every year the laudable charity StreetSmart helps raise funds for our city's homeless in the run-up to Christmas. It's really a no-brainer. Instead of feeling guilty about splurging on your festive fun, you know that you're raising money to help get people off the streets at the worst time of the year.

Last year, of course, things didn't pan out as planned and the charity suffered a 60% drop in income when restaurants went back into lockdown. So they're hoping for a bumper season this year to make up for that.

Over 450 restaurants across the country have signed up including the likes of Barrafina, Seabird, St John’s and The River Café.

It's an impressive line-up which ranges from Michelin favourites like De Terra, SOLA Soho and Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester right through to the newest openings like Trattoria Brutto and Sessions Art Club.

Over 50 UK homelessness charities now benefit from the money raised, with funds supporting services in housing, mental health advice, training and job support as well as organisations providing a safe place to sleep for the night. Even better, 100% of what is raised at the restaurants goes to help those in need as the campaign costs are covered by StreetSmart’s partner LandAid.

If you want to plan ahead and make your dining out worth something more this season, head to StreetSmart to find out which restaurants are taking part.
