What: INO
In a nutshell: Greek charcoal grilling in Soho
Summing it all up: OPSO's new restaurant in Soho is all about live-fire grilling over charcoal. Expect plenty of meat and fish grilling, alongside an ever-changing Greek wine list.
The low-down
The team behind Marylebone's OPSO (and the two-Michelin-starred Funky Gourmet in Athens) are coming to Soho with their latest restaurant, INO.
This time, the centre of attention is the Greek ‘Psistaria’ grill and you can expect plenty of live-fire grilling over charcoal. The menu features:
- Charcoaled prime short rib chops
- House-cured mackerel and lamb sweetbreads skewers
- Catch of the day carpaccio and sardines sashimi.
- Fish ‘cheeks’ with tomato and parsley salsa.
- Secreto’ Souvlaki with Iberico pork
There's also a dessert box (below) where you'll get to choose just what you want to finish with.
For drinks, there will be an almost solely Greek wine list (which certainly suits us as Assyrtiko is our drink of the moment) with the whole list changing regularly and all available by the glass. Alongside these are draft beers from boutique breweries and barrel-aged cocktails.
The restaurant is replacing what used to be their souvlaki spin-off, PitaBun, but will have a completely different feel - and it will, of course, also have an outdoor terrace.
