Given the year we've just had, it's no surprise that everyone wants to get in on the lucrative delivery market. But the arrival of top chef Phil Howard to the scene makes the launch of OTTO a whole lot more interesting.
“Two of the dishes that I am perhaps best known for," says Phil, "are the lasagne of crab at The Square and the strozzapreti of truffles at Elystan Street. Pasta’s capacity to deliver pleasure is without rival and when you’re in the business of giving pleasure, that makes for a pretty useful tool!"
The chef's new delivery company OTTO will have a seasonal menu of eight pasta dishes - including vegan, vegetarian, gluten and dairy-free options. In creating them he's used suppliers from his restaurants, Elystan Street, Kitchen W8 and Church Road in Barnes, such as butcher HG Walter, Natoora, Buchanans Cheesemonger and Flying Fish Seafoods.
On the launch men you'll find:
- Pici cacio e pepe
- Rigatoni with slow-cooked aged beef, field mushrooms and red wine
- Short cut bucatini with a spring vegetable and almond bolognese
- Ravioli of Jersey Royals, English peas, aged pecorino and mint
- Linguine with wild English garlic leaf pesto
There'll also be other comestibles like olives, pestos, burrata and focaccia to buy.
