With restaurants reopening on 2 December (we hope), there's news of a brand new residency from Rogues London to look forward to. The team, Freddie Sheen and Zac Whittle who originally met at Galvin La Chapelle, have recently popped up in Parlour at Kensal Rise (including a lockdown delivery service) and now they'll be taking over Hackney Coffee Company in the evenings and brunch at the weekends.
Taking a sustainable approach, there's a no-waste approach to all their produce, which is all sourced as locally as possible
Dishes include:
- Roasted corn, red miso & mushroom tart
- Roast Harlequin pumpkin, parmesan, sage and chestnut
- Sea trout, Alsace bacon, spring vegetables & girolles
They'll also adapt any menu to either vegetarians and pescetarians - and it definitely sounds worth a try when it opens on Hackney Road. If you can't wait, they're already serving lockdown lunches that include a sausage crumpet sandwich and a portobello mushroom, spinach, pickled tomatoes & black garlic bun (pictured below).
