If the onslaught of emosh Christmas ads has already got you sobbing into your laptop, then this story from a London pub may push you over the top.
The Duke of Cambridge organic pub in Islington is today launching an initiative to help StreetSmart - the UK charity for the homeless that normally gets its money from a donation added onto restaurant bills and whose funds have been decimated by the lockdown.
The idea is that the pub will open for The Duke Bakery for the next three Fridays, selling Head Chef Peters’ signature organic sourdough/potato bread along with sweet spiced saffron buns.
Every penny of the proceeds they make will go to Street Smart. A large loaf costs a fiver and a saffron bun just £1 and - if you can show proof you've already donated to StreetSmart you'll also get a free baked good.
