During the last lockdown, Claridge's Davies and Brook restaurant - by NYC chef Daniel Humm - launched a stupidly popular delivery service. Claridge's Fried Chicken, aka CFC, was a massive success and now the service is back for Lockdown 2.0
There is one big new addition to the menu - Humm has added his Roast Chicken with Foie Gras and Black Truffle dish to the menu. Billed as "a family favourite that his mum used to make" - clearly he comes from a pretty extra family - the dish costs a whopping £145. But then it does come with sides of;
- Bitter Greens Salad with Sunflower Seeds, Crispy Shallots, and Sherry Vinaigrette
- Butternut Squash Baked with Seaweed and Brown Butter
- Potato Gratin with Onion, Parmesan and Gruyere
The meal also includes two puddings - an apple tart with maple and almond and, for the morning after, granola with pumpkin seeds, cranberries and orange. Plus, there's a thermometer to help make sure that chicken is cooked to perfection.
If that's a little too luxe for you, the fried chicken box is £45 (see our Test Drive here) which we think is great value.
