During Lockdown, popular restaurant Silver Lining revealed its plans to become the UK's first wine bar focused entirely on orange wine. In its first phase, it opened as a takeaway bottle shop with over 50 varieties of orange wine to choose from.
Now they're opening as a fully functioning wine bar with an entirely orange wine list and serving up seasonal small plates. On the menu you'll find dishes like
- White Asparagus with Garlic Aioli
- Ortiz Anchovies in Rosemary Oil with Orange Zest
- Rilette de Canard with Cornichon and Bread
As co-founder Sarah Maddox explains: "it’s great to now be able to invite customers to the bar to further share in our passion for orange wine. The food is very much inspired by mine and my husband’s time spent in Parisian wine bars and wondering through some of the incredible food markets in Western France."
In addition to the wines at Silver Lining, you'll also be able to buy bottled cocktails from their sister bar next door, Every Cloud, including their rather wonderful MarTinys. They also sell coffee and pastries during the day.
