Cafe Deco is the solo restaurant from ex River Cafe and Rochelle Canteen chef Anna Tobias. For this restaurant, she's teamed up with the people behind Bermondsey's much-loved 40 Maltby Street, for this Bloomsbury restaurant (which actually keeps the name from the previous occupant).
Expect the menu to change regularly, with pies, stews and soups being something of a focus. Here's a taster, based on the dishes they've been revealing on Instagram:
- Cauraro” or Fresh Anchovy, Potatoa, Pea & Cicoria Stew
- Braised Lamb Shank & Orzo with Green Beans in Tomato
- Kale, Lentil & Rice Stew
With the 40 Maltby Street crew involved, wines will play a big part, with a focus on the natural.
