Opening today in Hoxton (where Monty's Deli used to be) is a new bar and kitchen (and events space) from Yann Florio, who was a finalist in MasterChef: The professionals last year (and previously a private chef). The menu is planned to be seasonal and regularly changing, with a focus on innovation. And if you liked what you saw on MasterChef, there will be regular events with a tasting menu from Florio, showcasing signature dishes.
Dishes will include:
- Blackberry Sorbet, Lavender Financier, Candied Ginger & Wild Flowers
- Cured wild sea bass with pea bavarois
- Gooseberries and quail with fermented cherries & confit courgette
The bar is headed up by >Joe Sanders and drinks will use foraged ingredients, like "Cucumber, Bombay Sapphire & Wasabi Leaf" and "Infused Gin, Small Batch Raspberry Kombucha and Vermouth Blanc"
Seating-wise, there are six booths in the restaurant to choose from, or space in the bar - all socially distanced, of course.
