Joining a range of restaurants finding new ways back to reopening in Borough Market is Shuk. Their market stall first opened as part of the Borough Market Kitchen section last year. Now they're about to start doing dinners at the weekends.
Erev (it means evening in Hebrew) will be all about small sharing plates and some off-the-hook hummus. Dishes include:
- Rare beef, smoked pickled mushrooms, zaatar & truffle pecorino
- Sweet potato, chilli yoghurt, radish & coriander
- Hummus - with toppings including fish tagine, spiced lamb and roasted aubergine
- Cheesecake, poached rhubarb & pistachio crumble
Expect seats to be high demand. They're for reservation-only on Friday and Saturday nights and there's just eight at the kitchen and 24 on alfresco tables in the market square itself.
As part of the launch, they're also hosting a series of Thursday night chef collaborations when they'll be doing one-off set menus. Chefs on board so far include Helen Graham of Bubala and Eran Tibi of Bala Baya.
