In normal times (which we're very slowly heading back to) Farokh Talati, head chef of St John Bread and Wine, hosts a monthly Parsi feast at Maison Bertaux. If you're unfamiliar with the cuisine, it's one of the world’s most ancient, combining Persian and Indian influences.
Those feasts are on hold for now - but that doesn't mean you have to miss out. Teaming up with the Dishpatch delivery service, Farokh's put together a meal kit that's well worth a look. It's a four-course menu of Parsi classics using seasonal ingredients from his favourite suppliers - and the menu sounds pretty great:
- Charred Sweetcorn, Carrot and Paneer Salad
- Traditional Parsi Chicken Dhansak with Caramelised Onions and Basmati Rice
- Grey Mullet Stuffed with Coconut, Green Mango and Coriander Chutney, Wrapped in Banana Leaf and Baked
- Alphonso Mango and Pineapple Poached in Jaggery and Saffron
This weekend's box is sold out - but they've added an extra one next week - and we think it's definitely worth trying to grab one.
