40ft Brewery to celebrate reopening in Dalston with a 6ft beer

40ft Brewery to celebrate reopening in Dalston with a 6ft beer

While we're obviously very excited that restaurants are about to reopen, we're also just as giddy about the pubs, bars and taprooms returning across the city. And one of our favourites of the latter is definitely 40ft Brewery in Dalston. They're not only reopening their outside space, but they're also introducing a new drink to emphasise the required social distancing.

The 6FT is described as a 6% IPA best enjoyed at a 1-2-metre distance (depending on how things go in parliament today) from those outside of your household (or bubble) and "has a light caramel and toasted malt backbone, which opens up to reveal citrus and stone fruit flavours and aromas, balanced with an assertive bitterness which brings everything together".

You'll be able to celebrate on 4 July by heading down to their outside-only taproom in Dalston, all set out exactly to govt. regulations. We think that grabbing a potato sourdough from Dusty Knuckle (in the same yard) and then sitting down with a 6ft to celebrate sounds like a fine way to spend a day.
