One result of the lockdown is that it seems to have turned an awful lot more people into budding bakers. But if you're finding that learning from books or the odd Instagram live tutorial isn't quite doing it for you and you don't know what you're doing wrong, then Bread Ahead may have just the thing.
Their Instagram Live tutorials are already popular but they're now taking that one step forward with interactive Zoom (naturally) courses. So if you're wondering just why your version of the loaf doesn't in any way match that of the tutor - you'll at least be able to ask them for advice. There are four courses online at the moment (all ranging in time between two and three hours):
- Sourdough baking workshop
- British tea baking (sponge, swiss roll, ganache)
- Doughnut workshop
- Italian baking (ciabatta, focaccia, grissini)
You'll be emailed about all the ingredients you need a week before the course and though it's getting much easier to buy flour these days, Bread Ahead will also sell handy baking kits if you need them.
