Well, this sounds like fun. If you're a fan of the TV show Supersizers, then here's your chance to step back in time with Sue Perkins and Giles Coren.
The pair are offering a dinner out as part of a charity auction Asks for Masks. The whole thing aims to raise funds to get PPE to places where gaps remain, from hospitals to care homes, hospices to GP hubs.
In a post on Instagram Giles says "Sue and I are offering free food and free booze (rivers of booze) in a swank joint in FULL PERIOD DRESS (with a write up in The Times) for one night only to help provide PPE for frontline workers."
Obviously this won't happen until that point at which restaurants actually reopen, but already bids are flooding in. They were at £1900 when we last looked. Other lots include a case of vintage champagne, a signed Kevin Keegan shirt and private dinner with a wine masterclass for eight at GAUCHO.
