Hackney now has a roving pub service serving freshly poured pints

Forest Road Brewing start mobile pub service

Despite the Prime Minister talking about a potential July opening for some hospitality businesses, most people suspect that pubs - particularly those without big beer gardens - will be among the last places to emerge from lockdown. That's a long time to wait for a pint. Which is why East London's Forest Road Brewing Company has come up with an idea.

Their mobile pub will bring you a freshly poured pint direct to your door. Pint Mobile is a converted Citroën Berlingo with taps in the side from which they can serve Londoners three of their own beers - POSH Lager, WORK IPA and EASY Pale Ale. The idea is you order your beer and they'll drive around and pour it for you at your doorstep. All beers are £5 a pint including a branded glass to keep. Or you can use your own glass if you prefer.

“We have all of these kegs that are still fresh and tasting great," says owner Pete Brown, "so I thought if people can’t get to the kegs, let’s bring the kegs to them!”

Sadly it's only currently available within a three-mile radius of the brewery in E8, but they're hoping to expand that very soon.
