Update - 7/5/20
There are even more Shake Shacks on the way! This time they're opening two Deliveroo kitchens, so they're reaching areas of London that were previously deprived of Shack Burgers and frozen custard. First up is Battersea, opening on 9 May 2020 (delivering to SW11 including Balham, Brixton and Clapham) and that's being followed up by Swiss Cottage in the near future.
Expect more to come and we'll update you as the news comes in.
Original story follows
The longer lockdown goes on, the more it seems London's fast food outlets have had time to work out how to reopen safely. So far we've had KFC, MEATliquor and Pret taking the first slow steps to reopening. Now the next to join their ranks is Shake Shack.
This week the US chain is reopening their Tottenham Court Road and Canary Wharf locations for takeaway and delivery. Even better, if you're an emergency services worker if you order a burger, you'll get another burger on the house. So if you've been craving a Shack burger, cheese fries or one of their pretty amazing shakes - the wait is over.
You can either go in and get a takeaway or order through Deliveroo. Both will have strict social distancing measures in place including floor markers to promote social distancing and allocated pick-up zones for delivery riders. Keep an eye out for more of their restaurants opening soon.
