BIRD have brought their fried chicken to Brixton's Electric Avenue

bird opens their fried chicken restaurant in Brixton

Is there room in Brixton for more fried chicken? The folk at BIRD are hoping so, as they've just opened their sixth restaurant, on Electric Avenue.

The latest branch has room for 40 fried chicken lovers to dine in. It will serve all their usual dishes like fried chicken and waffles served with honey butter and Canadian maple syrup and BIRD's trademark Waffle Burger. For drinks, they'll have their own brand BIRD Brew lager, alongside local craft beers and cocktail including their take on a rum punch.

Sides include Korean fries, mash and gravy and Canadian poutine.

It's apparently the start of an expansion push for the company - so expect to spot more of these around town in the coming year.
