What: Tom Kerridge at the Stock Exchange Hotel
In a nutshell: Kerridge goes to Manchester
Summing it all up: Tom Kerridge is opening another hotel restaurant. This time he's teaming up with Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville's company to launch in the new Stock Exchange Hotel in Manchester.
The low-down
Tom Kerridge is expanding his restaurant empire. Best known for Marlow's Hand and Flowers, he had great success when he opened Kerridge's Bar and Grill at the Corinthia last year. Now he's opening another restaurant in that vein, this time in Manchester.
He'll be at Manchester's Stock Exchange boutique hotel that's opening later in 2019 from GG Hospitality - a group that just happens to be set up by Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville and who are also previously responsible for Cafe Football at Westfield).
The menu includes:
- Rotisserie Beetroot Salad with Feta and Mint
- Smoked Chicken and Ham Hock Terrine with Piccalilli
- Duck Liver Parfait with Plum Chutney
- Fish Fritter of the Day with Pease Pudding and Tartare Sauce
- Crispy Pig’s Head with Celeriac Rémoulade and Spiced Date Sauce
- Venison Chilli with Toasted Rice Cream, Red Wine and Chocolate
- Whisky and Rye Pudding
- Hot Chocolate Tart with Hazelnut Ice Cream
- The Coach Profiteroles with Soured Vanilla Cream
There's also a bar with cocktails that celebrate British distilleries, alongside a selection of local beers including a beer from Rebellion, a Marlow-based brewery.
Kerridge says:
The Bull and Bear will be a bit of Marlow up north which we can’t wait to share with the city of Manchester. The food scene up there is so vibrant and exciting and we’re looking forward to being a part of it. Our goal is to be somewhere that people feel welcome and looked after while enjoying some delicious food. The hotel is going to be stunning and it’s a brilliant setting for our first Manchester site.
