Borough's Great Guns Social is serving up a trio of new residencies

Borough's Great Guns Social is serving up a trio of new residencies

Great Guns Social in Borough has just announced a trio of residencies running up to October, and they all sound well worth your time. Here's what's coming:

Oxalis London - 20-31 August

Max de Nahlik and Nicholas Ross will be serving up seasonal British cuisine. The menu will change regularly, but you can expect sharing dishes including Cured Trout; Asparagus Tortellini; Wild Seabass; and Lamb, Flatbread and Harissa.

Whole Beast - 3-28 September

Sam Bryant and Alicja Specjalna (who come from the Coal Rooms) are specialising in nose-to-tail dining, making big use of flame, smoke, ember and ash. No-waste is a specific aim and a speciality will be the whole-quail
feast. That's brined overnight, then slow-roasted, cooked over coals and allowed to caramelise and then served with burnt leeks in cultured cream and truffle. Yes, we'll have some of that, please.

Klose & Soan - 1-26 October

Matt Close (formerly of Grub London) and Sam Soan (previously head chef at Camberwell Arms and Frank’s Cafe) offer creative, sustainable and rustic food. Small plates and snacks include Smoked pork belly and pickled pumpkin; Salt cod croquettes with preserved lemon aioli and Fresh tagliatelle with tomatoes and burrata. Larger plates are Cornish cod with Delia pumpkin and Salt marsh lamb with celeriac, watercress and Discovery apple.

All of those sound pretty darned good, we have to say. If they take your fancy, put those dates in the diary.
