What: Black Bear Burger Brixton Village
In a nutshell: Street food burger duo land in Brixton for a permanent spot
Summing it all up: They've been slowly growing a loyal fan base for their grass-fed and dry aged beef burgers - now the duo behind Black Bear Burger are opening a permanent spot in Brixton Village.
The low-down
You may have tried their burgers at Broadway Market, Boxpark Shoreditch or KERB - but now the duo behind Black Bear Burger are settling down with their first restaurant. They'll be opening this Autumn in Brixton Village.
On the menu you'll find their popular burgers, made using grass-fed and dry-aged beef sourced from native breeds raised in the South West. Co-owner Stew comes from farming stock - his family run a small farm down in Devon - so he ought to know where to find the best produce. Other regular menu items include:
- The Black Bear burger - Aged Beef Patty, American Cheese, Onion Jam, Pancetta Bacon, Garlic Mayo
- Chicken nuggets - Buttermilk Fried Chicken Breast with Buffalo & Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce
- Buffalo wings with house made blue cheese dip
The move to bricks and mortar also means they'll be expanding their menu. So expect to see chicken and vegan burgers, brisket spring rolls and smoked BBQ specials on offer.
The new Brixton spot also has a booze license so the menu will also feature a small list of cocktails, jugs of beer and ‘shot skis’.
