You might have tried their food at Market Hall Victoria or Old Spitalfields Market, but Flank's next move is to take on a long term residency in East London at The Print House in Stratford.
Flank is all about nose-to-tail eating and cooking over fire and Flank OG, which will be in Stratford, expands their offering to more of a small plates game. From a quick look at what's on their launch menu, it definitely sounds worth checking out.
Things kick off with starters like burnt end beef naan with chilli sambal (pictured) or pig head sub roll with bbq glaze. Then for the main event you get a tray with pickles and a white slice and add to that your choice of meat or roast veg and sides like pork lardo sticky rice and bone marrow potato slice. There's also going to be a special of glazed duck cooked over fire, served with duck fat naans and duck leg clay pot.
I know - you want to head to Stratford right now, reading that, don't you?
On Sundays they'll be serving up sharing trays of roasted meats such as Belted Galloway beef with mustard bone marrow or smoked pork belly with crispy pigs ears and apple ketchup. And all of those will come with a veritable smorgasbord of Sunday sides like beef fat roast potatoes, BBQ greens, roasted maple spiced carrots and blood cake stuffing.
